“As you can see… the documented Mi’kmaq land and resource use of Stratford and surrounding areas was extensive for several hundred years. As well, the famed Mi’kmaq runner, Michael Thomas, a world class athlete, made his home in Stratford early in his marriage, until his death in 1954” (MacDonald, pers. communication)
