Photos must be taken within the boundaries of SAWIG. This includes Stratford, Alexandra, Hazelbrook, Pownal and Fullerton’s Creek (as far north as the bridge before you hit the intersection to go to Fort Augustus etc.)

The Stratford Area Watershed Improvement Group (SAWIG) is hosting a photo contest in honor of World Water Day!

The theme for this photo contest is NATURE FOR WATER; photos must reflect the relationship between nature and water and finding nature-based solutions to water challenges we face in the 21st century. Creativity is encouraged! Photos must be located within SAWIG’s watershed boundaries.  Please click HERE to view the rules and to view watershed boundaries.

FIRST PLACE: $100 cash, 1-year membership to the watershed group

SECOND PLACE: $50 cash, 1-year membership to the watershed group

THIRD PLACE: 1-year family membership to the watershed group (valued at $20)

It’s very easy to enter!  Simply email your digital photo to with the subject 2018 Photo Contest. Please see rules for required information. Final voting will taking place at our upcoming Annual General Meeting in April!
